York and Harrogate Day Trip

Oakholme Road • 20 October, 8am - 5.30pm, £10

First stop on this Yorkshire trip is York. York is one of the most beautiful cities in the UK with attractions including the stunning York Minster, York Castle, the National Railway Museum and the Jorvik Viking Centre. You’ll also find many museums, dungeons and ghost tours, as well as cruises along the River Ouse. All this is within York’s winding medieval streets and enclosed within the city’s fantastic Roman walls. After spending the morning and early afternoon in York, we then head off to our next destination of Harrogate. Harrogate is a beautiful spa town in the heart of North Yorkshire. In the 18th century the town became known as “The English Spa”after the waters were discovered to contain healing properties such as iron and sulphur. Today there are many stunning and unusual sights to see, with many historic buildings, impressive architecture, as well as the natural springs. Learn more about the town’s history at one of the local museums or galleries. Make sure you stop for tea and cake at the world famous Betty’s Tearooms – a quintessentially English experience.

The trip will run with an 8am departure from the Oakholme Road You will have free time to explore York and Harrogate. The pick up time in York to take you to Harrogate will be put on your print out for the day. You will then be expected to be at the Harrogate meeting point at the end of the day at 5.30pm, so we can travel back to Sheffield.

What's included with my ticket?

Your ticket is great value for money and includes all coach transport to and from York/Harrogate You're free to explore the city in your own time and at your own pace. We will give you an itinerary and map when you are on the coach so you can plan your day accordingly.
