World Mental Health Day is 10 October this year. We at Residence Life want to hear from you about what you do to look after yourself. We all have mental health, and looking after ourselves is one of our biggest responsibilities.
Of course looking after your well-being should not just take place over one day, or one week: it’s a process we develop as we grow to help us cope through tricky times, but also to keep ourselves well. It’s especially important to know how to take care of ourselves when we’re going through a big transitional period, such as starting at University!
It could be sport, walking, reading, writing, eating, socialising, Netflix-binging, running, calling your parents, or going to the pub with your mates.
So, we’d like you to post your pictures to Facebook and Instagram with the hashtags: #WorldMentalHealthDay and #ShefResLife
We’ll go through and pick a winner at random. The winner will receive vouchers for a spa experience for two at Spa 1877! What better way to look after yourself than that?!
