Turn your Christmas cards into trees

After the success of our collection last year, once again we will be asking for your old Christmas cards in January and bringing them to our nearest M&S Christmas card recycling point.

For every 1,000 cards we drop into Marks & Spencer stores for recycling throughout January, a new tree will be planted in the UK thanks to the Woodland Trust.

Last year, University staff and students collected over 3,000 Christmas cards, collecting enough for three new trees to be planted by the Woodland Trust. Let’s aim even higher this year and do our bit to help.

If you would like to help us plant a tree by recycling your Christmas cards, simply bring them to one of our Christmas card recycling points at the following locations:

  • The Edge Customer Service reception
  • The Ridge Customer Service reception
  • Smart Move Sheffield, Students’ Union Building
  • Halifax Hall Hotel

Please bring all cards for recycling to a collection point before Friday 26th January 2018.
