We all know that we need to eat healthy but is this as easy as it sounds?  Are nutrition guides, food labels and sometimes conflicting information sending our brain into overdrive?

We’re told we need to have a balanced diet, reduce our saturated fat intake, eat at least five portions of fruit and vegetables but what does all this really mean and how can we apply it to our busy lives?

Don’t despair!  If you want to start eating more healthy this Spring but don’t know where to start then come along on Monday 7 May at 7pm in High Tor 3, The Edge to hear how healthy eating can be made easy!

Learn about...

  • Carbohydrate rich food and the glycaemic index
  • Animal vs plant-based protein
  • How to cook cheap, tasty and healthy meals
  • Dietary fats and health
  • The Balanced eating chart
  • Sustainable solutions to the challenge of choosing healthier foods more frequently.
  • Grocery shopping, reading labels and assembling a balanced meal

All the information contained in the session will be based on NHS guidelines and advice and the HENRY programme.
