Are you looking for some campaign experience for your CV or the chance to work on a University wide environmental campaign? Why not become a Student Switch Off Ambassador!
Student Switch Off is a huge energy saving campaign across all the residences here at Sheffield University. Throughout the year there's loads of engagement opportunities for students to get involved with – because saving energy needn’t be dull! At the moment we're looking to recruit a number of voluntary campaign ambassadors -students that can help promote the campaign in their residence, and work as a team to boost engagement and raise awareness across campus.
Students will receive a free training session on what to do and all of the ambassadors will be supported throughout the year, so you don’t need to worry if you’ve never done anything like this before. It’s a great way to get some CV experience which is flexible and fits around your studies as you can give as much or as little time as you like, starting at just a few hours each term to help promote the campaign. It also runs throughout the academic year, so it’s a great opportunity to have some more long-term experience to add to your skill set. Plus, for every ambassador recruited, your residence will have more chance of moving up the leader board! At the end of the year you may also be eligible for a reference from NUS too.
