If you're looking for competitive sport then look no further. There are over 50 sports teams that compete for the Universality on a regular basis in their black and gold kit. You can get involved even if you have never played before with many teams catering for development players right up to first team players.

These leagues offer you the opportunity to take part in semi-competitive sports leagues at low cost. Teams can play in football, netball, touch rugby, basketball and squash during term time, with hundreds of departmental societies, teams of course mates or housemates able to enter.

Social Sport & Activity sessions are available to all students for just £2.50 per session, and can be enjoyed during term time. Students of all abilities, genders and cultures are welcome to the recreational sessions. Most activities are taught by our Student Sport Leaders to guide you through everything, with something for everyone!

Residence Life runs side by side with Social Sport & Activity and is available to all students living within Halls of Residence. Sessions are discounted to £1 and can be enjoyed during term time covering your traditional sports, sports you may have never seen before and fitness classes. Students of all abilities, genders and cultures are welcome to the recreational sessions.

With over 170 pieces of equipment, extensive fitness class programme, a 33m indoor swimming pool, sauna, stem room, squash courts, indoor bouldering wall and Personal Training available Goodwin Sports Centre is perfectly located in the heart of the campus.
