First Year Undergraduates: Look out for your first official HEAR
All undergraduate students are provided with a Higher Education Achievement Report - an official, electronic document which records your academic and extra-curricular achievements from day one through to graduation. Your HEAR is updated by staff, usually at the end of each semester - you cannot add information to your HEAR yourself. To see what is recorded in the HEAR, go to: http://www.shef.ac.uk/ssid/hear/what.
Throughout your university career, you will be issued with several 'snapshot' HEARs. These are official pdf. documents which contain details of your achievements so far. All undergraduates will receive a snapshot HEAR during the week commencing 27 March - if you are a first year, this will be your first ever official HEAR. You will receive an email from firstname.lastname@example.org when your HEAR has been issued to you.
You access your official HEAR by logging in to a service called, 'Sheffield Authorised Records' or ShARe. You will find the link to login to ShARe from your unofficial, preview HEAR in MUSE (My Services > View All Services > Higher Education Achievement Report). More information about accessing your HEAR is at: http://www.shef.ac.uk/ssid/hear/how
To find out how you can use your HEAR, go to: http://www.shef.ac.uk/ssid/hear/uses
