Our team is here to support you as you navigate your University journey. Having been a student at the University of Sheffield myself (many years ago now!), I know some of the ups and downs that student life can bring - and how important it is to have someone to reach out to. Mentors are there to check you're getting on well, so should you have any questions or queries, then please speak with our Mentors; if you think you need some help and aren't sure who to contact, our Mentors can signpost you in the right direction. As Officers, we work with the Mentors and a range of teams at the University to enable you, as students, to adapt and thrive during your time with us in Sheffield, so please get in touch with our team if you're struggling in any way. Sheffield is a fantastic place to study and we're here to help you make the most of it!

Student Support & Wellbeing:

A team of knowledgeable and experienced Student Support and Wellbeing Officers (SSWOs) are available to advise and signpost residents on a wide range of student related matters. SSWOs have received rigorous training including but not limited to Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, Sexual Violence Liaison Officer training, and Mental Health First Aid. They lead teams of Residence Life Mentors, experienced students who deliver a peer mentoring scheme across Ranmoor/Endcliffe and City. If you have any questions or concerns you'd like to discuss, email residentsupport@sheffield.ac.uk .
