Glossop Road entrance to Bar One - 25 March, 8am-5.30pm
Coach departs Whitby at 5.30pm. Ticket includes return travel and a stop in Robin Hood's Bay and Whitby. You will have free time in each destination. Travel time is approximately 2.5 hours.
Our first stop on this Yorkshire Coast trip is to Robin Hood's Bay. The bay is a small fishing village located within the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Millions of years ago, the land upon which Robin Hood’s Bay is situated was once a deep sea. The sea animals of the time, buried in the mud, became fossilised, providing one of the best sources in Britain for the fossil hunter! Many of which are on display in the town's Museum. Our next top is Whitby, which is a seaside town full of history and myths including the famous Whitby Abbey. An array of unique shops can be found along the cobbled streets, offering local crafts, famous Whitby Jet jewellery, maritime memorabilia and antiques. There are a plethora of creative studios and art galleries in Whitby that you can visit. And for the food connoisseurs out there, Whitby has award winning seafood restaurants, continental delights, traditional sea-shanty inns and traditional English tea rooms.
