Finding a part time job

Our students look for part-time work for many reasons - to gain experience, to develop skills, to meet new people as well as to gain some additional finance to support their time in Sheffield.

If your son or daughter is interested in finding a part-time job, the Student Jobshop can help.  Based in the busy Students’ Union, Jobshop staff are on hand to assist students with their jobsearch, helping to identify suitable vacancies both on and off campus via the Career Connect online vacancy service.  At the start of the autumn semester they can come along to our Part-time Jobs and Volunteering Fair where they can meet employers with part-time vacancies in retail, finance, web development, customer service, marketing and more

If your son or daughter has no previous experience of work, they can take part in our Taste of Work programme and undertake a practical work taster on campus.  Please see more details at:
