Dine & Date applications now open!

By sbeckett 09 Jan 2017

Want to meet Fred Sirieix and go on a date at Inox to find your soulmate?

Applications are now open for the 2017 edition of Dine & Date. Scroll down to apply.

Last year, we held our very successful charity Dine & Date event at Inox, in which we gave 60 students the chance to find their soulmate by going on a blind date in the style of TV's famous dating show. We even had Fred Sirieix hosting as our guest maître d'!

This year, it's back and Fred Sirieix will be joining us once again to raise money for some of RAG's chosen charities!

Dine & Date at Inox

Meet the man himself and, who knows, perhaps find love... 30 lucky couples will be treated to a complimentary three course sit down meal in the elegant Inox Dine. Our lucky couples will be matched up by our team of specialists and, on the night of the date, will be treated to all the glitz and glam including a red carpet entrance, the meal and, of course, the opportunity to meet Fred!

Our chosen couples will arrive at Inox Dine where they will be introduced to their blind date. Fred will then greet each couple and show them to their seats. After the meal, the couples can pay what they think the meal was worth and all donations will go to Sheffield RAG. There will be a post meal interview and discussion where couples get the opportunity to share their Dine and Date experience with Forge TV.

Forge TV will be there to film the whole experience and there may even be the opportunity to come to a screening in the Students' Union or the Residences. The event will start at 5.45pm and will finish at 10pm.

If this sounds like something you want to get involved with, click here to sign up!

The closing date for applications for Dine and Date is the 6 February.

An Audience with Fred Sirieix

Even if you're not looking for love but would still like to meet Fred, we'll also be hosting an 'Audience with Fred Sirieix'. This will take place in Foundry, Students' Union, in the afternoon of the 20 February and he'll be discussing all sorts, from love to politics! The event will include a Q&A session, book signing and a meet and greet.

Places will be limited so you will need to book to attend this session. Keep an eye out as more information on how to book will be released in early February.
