Looking for a part-time job? Want to gain some extra cash during your studies or want to develop those CV boosting skills?
Make the most of your time at university and apply for a fully funded placement right here on campus.
The On Campus Placement scheme, run by the Careers Service, offers paid, project-based placements in various departments across the University. Your placement will last 100 hours (max 16 hours per week) and you will be paid a bursary of £1000 for completing the placement.
Here at Residence Life, we will be looking for one student to complete a placement with us. We're looking for a Project Facilitator (Activity Reps) who would be required to take the lead on the Activity Rep programme. Activity Reps are student volunteers living in the residences, whose role is to organise social activities for their residential peers. With support from the Residence Life team, you will be responsible for coordinating the marketing and recruitment strategy of the project, engaging with students via social media, delivering training sessions, leading team meetings and supporting the student volunteers in fulfilling their role.
The post is open to current undergraduate and taught postgraduate students at the University. We are looking for a student with excellent problem-solving and communication skills and the ability to use their own initiative and think innovatively and creatively.
As well as receiving a £1000 bursary, you will gain valuable employability skills, including leadership, project management and event planning skills.
